NLC holds the 27th Edition of the National Rain School, 2016 in Uyo

The 27th Edition of the National Rain School, 2016, organized by the Nigeria Labour Congress, N-L-C will take place in Uyo from August 29, to September 2, 2016.
With the theme “The Labour Movement An Alternative Development Strategy in Nigeria” will hold at the Godswill Akpabio NLC Rain School Complex, Workers’ Solidarity Centre, Uyo.
A statement signed by the Chairman of the NLC in the State, Comrade Etim Ukpong says this year’s school will draw participants from the congresses forty-three affiliate unions thirty-six State Councils, the Federal Capital Territory and the International Community.

The National President of the Congress, Comrade Ajuba Wabba, according to the statement is expected to lead other National Officers, facilitators and International participant to the event.
The statement also indicates that Governor Udom Emmanuel will be the Special Guest of Honour and will declare the Conference open on Monday August 29, by noon.
The National President of the NLC will also on Monday pay a courtesy visit on the State Governor, while in the evening of the same day, the National Officers and course participants will be treated to a Cultural Night.

The State Council of the NLC therefore invites the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo, the Speaker and members of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Members of the State Executive Council, the  Head of the State Civil Service, Members of the State Council of the NLC and TUC, Labour veterans and the entire workers of the state to the opening ceremony.
