AKBC Women send-off retired members in style

A send off party has been organized by the AKBC Women group for five of its members who have retired from service.
The leader of the group, Mrs. Mary Essien commended the retirees for serving the state meritoriously for thirty-five years and wished them well in their future endeavours.
The Director General of the AKBC Pastor Anietie Ukpe represented by the Director, Marketing, Elder Etop Akpanyah, thanked God for keeping them alive.
He noted that the retirees have contributed to the growth of AKBC.
In an exhortation Mrs. Victoria Akpan who spoke on the topic “Transformation” said it is changing from bad ways and inculcating good habits.
Noting that a person who is transformed will be renewed, assured the women that if they are guided by the Holy Spirit, their lives will be better and advised them to always look up to God.
Responding, one of the retirees, and former Director General AKBC, Mrs. Elsie Udofia noted that the party was a celebration of love by the AKBC Women Group.
Mrs. Udofia expressed gratitude to the management of AKBC for the platform it gave them to excel.
Those honoured were; the former Director-General, AKBC Mrs. Elsie Udofia, Mrs. Aniefiok Obot, Mrs. Mercy Abasiofon Udo, Mrs. Margeret Adiakpan and Mrs. Alice Joseph.
As part of the event the women visited the Special Children’s Home, Uyo.
Receiving the women, the Matron of the Home, Mrs. Mary Akpan thanked them for the visit and for supporting the upkeep of the children especially during this Easter season.
The leader of the Women Group Mrs. Mary Essien advised the children to be hardworking, and God-fearing by being prayerful and to be of good behavior.
