In the Catholic Calendar, Sunday was Corpus Christi, Feast of Christ the King, observed on the last Sunday of the Liturgical Year.
Corpus Christi also known as Corpus Dominic is a Latin term meaning “Body and Blood of Jesus”.
The most common component is that bread and wine are usually offered as symbol of the body and blood of Christ.
In Nigeria, Corpus Christi is observed mostly by Catholics though the festival is celebrated among Christians in different regions of the World.
