The Director General of the Corporation, Pastor Anietie Ukpeh gave the indication when members of the AKBC Radio Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, paid him a courtesy visit at the Corporate Headquarters, 3 Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo.
Pastor Ukpeh also announced Management’s commitment to promote the welfare of staff and urged the Union to discharge its duties with conscience.
Pastor Ukpeh said that for effective running of the Corporation, all hands must be on deck to ensure that more revenue was attracted to the station.
He said the Management was making plans to link the transmitting station to the national gird rather than rely solely on generating plant for power supply.
The Director General who was inducted into the AKBC Radio Chapel of the NUJ, commended members for the visit and solicited more cooperation from the Union for the growth of the Corporation.
The Chairman of the AKBC Radio Chapel the Reverend Samuel Jonah who led members on the visit congratulated Pastor Ukpe on his appointment.
He listed the challenges facing members to include inadequate working tools such as internet facilities and appealed to management to redress the situation.
