The District Governor of Lions Club, District 404 A2, Elder Nse Ekefre and wife Helen, rolled out the red carpet for high society guest when they gave out their daughter, Pharmacist Edidiong Ekefre in marriage to her heart throb, Dr. Iniobong Effanga Inyang.
Government functionaries, Royal Fathers, Ranking Clerics, converged on the Events Centre on Osongama layout, Uyo to witness the traditional rites which had Architect Henry Isangedighi as Chairman.
Having obtained the consent of their parents, the ceremony moved to the United Evangelical Church, 164 Aka Road, Uyo, founded as Qua Iboe Church where the couple exchanged marital vows, rings, kissed and signed the dotted lines to the admirations of friends, family and guests.
The ceremony was officiated by the Resident Minister, the Reverend Aniedi Akpan who in a sermon admonished Pharmacist Edidiong to emulate the attributes of the Biblical Character, Esther and Dr. Inyang to love his wife as Christ loved the church.
At the wedding reception, held at Ibom Hall, the Governor of the wedding feast, Air Vice Marshall Nsikak Eduok retired, stressed the need for mutual understanding and genuine love in marriages.
The wedding feast featured the nuptial dance, cutting of the wedding cake by the couple, toast of the bride and groom, while the couple also fed themselves to the admiration of guests.
