The Permanent Secretary budget Office and Acting Chairman Internal Revenue Service, Pastor Nicholas Ekarika says the present tax regime being implemented in the state is not intended to inflict pains on tax payers.

Pastor Ekarika stated this in an AKBC Television panel discussion programme, Discourse.

Other Panelists were the Chairman Joint Public Service Negotiating Council comrade Udeme Otong, a tax consultant Mr. Akpan Umoh and the Director Road Tax, Mr. Iniobong Silas.
